Data deletion instructions

Last updated: 6 May 2026

You can request the deletion of your Jedd Social account and the data we hold about you at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option A — Delete from inside the app

  1. Sign in at jedd.social.
  2. Open Settings → Profile.
  3. Scroll to Delete account and confirm. Your workspace, drafts, scheduled posts, media uploads, short links, and stored OAuth tokens are removed within a few minutes.

Option B — Email request

If you cannot sign in, or you connected via a third party (e.g. Threads, Facebook, Instagram) and want us to delete the data we received via that integration, email tony@laughtons.org with the subject line “Jedd Social data deletion request”. Include:

  • The email address (or third-party account handle) you signed up with.
  • Whether you want a full account deletion or only the data tied to a specific connected platform.

We respond to deletion requests within 30 days. In most cases the deletion is completed within 7 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record and workspace.
  • All drafts, scheduled posts, and published-post history.
  • Uploaded media files (from our CDN storage).
  • OAuth access tokens for connected platforms (which also revokes our ability to post on your behalf).
  • Short links you created through jedd.social/s/<slug> and their click counts.

What we may retain

Aggregated, anonymised metrics that cannot be tied back to you, and minimal records required to comply with legal or financial obligations. None of this includes your post content or third-party access tokens.

Revoking platform access directly

You can also revoke Jedd Social's access to a connected platform from that platform's own settings:

Revoking access from the platform side immediately stops Jedd Social posting on your behalf, but does not by itself delete the data we already hold — use Option A or B above for that.
